Important Disclaimer

This visa information is compiled from China’s National Immigration Administration (NIA) public notices as of June 2026. Policies change frequently. Always verify your specific situation with the Chinese embassy or consultate in your country, or check nia.gov.cn before booking travel. The 30-day visa-free policy is unilateral (not reciprocal in all cases) and has been extended through December 2026. The 240-hour transit policy requires a confirmed onward ticket to a third country. For medical treatment, foreigners generally apply for an S1 (long term) private affairs visa annotated for medical treatment, or an S1 for stays over 180 days; a hospital invitation or admission letter is typically required.

We handle visa paperwork so you can concentrate on your treatment. We assist overseas patients applying for Chinese medical visas. Short-term care uses S2 visa and long stays require S1 visa. Both need Grade 3A hospital admission documents, which are difficult to apply for from abroad without local representation.
